Fit for a Queen

Michelle Obama Dines With King of Spain

Lunch was Andalusian-style chilled gazpacho soup, chargrilled turbot, veal escalopes with mustard, Oriental rice with sauteed mushrooms, a Mallorca-style vegetable ratatouille and sliced fruit with ice cream, accompanied by wines from the northern regions of Rueda and Rioja, the palace said."

I have actually been pleasantly surprised by the kerfuffle that Michelle's and her daughter's pleasure trip has caused in the media. There have even been stories on the normally boot-licking networks questioning the taste of our royal family, spending at least $375,000 on a five day trip to Europe instead of spending that money here. To be sure, one third of a million dollars is a drop in the bucket compared to the devastating economic damage done to this country by President Soetoro, but it would have been much more seemly of Michelle Obama to have spent our vacation money in the Gulf Coast or elsewhere in America.

I don't have any idea what "Mallorca-style ratatouille" is, and I have never had gazpacho of any sort, much less "Andalusian-style." But Barry Soetoro and his family are having a grand old time partying and vacationing and golfing at the expense of the American taxpayer. From a turbocharged economy to being charged for Michelles turbot in five short years...
