Congress Members Float Dropping of "Anchor Baby" Provision
"Still, the debate could resonate in Texas, where not only 1.5 million illegal immigrants are estimated to reside but at least 60,000 babies are added to their households annually.
Parkland Memorial Hospital delivers more of those babies than any other hospital in the state. Last year at Parkland, 11,071 babies were born to women who were noncitizens, about 74 percent of total deliveries. Most of these women are believed to be in the country illegally."
"Last year, such births represented almost 16 percent of the total births statewide.
Between 2001 and 2009, births to illegal immigrant women totaled 542,152 in Texas alone."
Finally someone is talking about getting at the root of the illegal immigration problem -- the language in the 14th Amendment commonly known as the anchor baby provision. The United State is the only country on Earth with open borders and a government unwilling to enforce existing law. That is, except for the anchor baby part of the law.
This country is a honeypot, a magnet for illegals. We lure them in with free health care, education, housing and welfare checks, and if a woman manages to drop a baby within our make-believe borders, the child is instantly a citizen and she and her entire family can remain here legally and suck off the public teat. Have more babies and they get more welfare. You know how they play our system.
I'm sick and tired of having to press "1" for English. I've received twice in the mail in the last few weeks advertisements from Time-Warner Cable with Spanish language in a large font and English in a smaller font, below the Spanish. That is symbolic of how the globalists and the government want things in America. They are using the illegal aliens as a de facto siege army to tear the country's economy down, and the criminal illegal vermin are doing a damn good job of it. I say we should press the buttons on our phones and call our Senators and Irrepresentatives and tell them, dammit, knock the anchor baby provision out of the 14th Amendment.
